Eight-Month-Old Infant, Two Women Die in Ganga Expressway Accident

New Delhi. A terrible accident has occurred on the Ganga Expressway in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. An eight-month-old baby and two women have died in the accident. Police have collected the bodies and started an investigation.

According to the police, the accident happened around 3 am near Jakhera Rehmat village. A canter going from Bareilly to Ludhiana suddenly lost control and hit the divider.

The front part of the vehicle was damaged due to the collision. Two women and an eight-month-old baby traveling in the canter died on the spot. Local residents informed the police immediately after the incident. Following this, the police from Bahadurgarh reached the spot and tried to rescue the injured.

The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem. Preliminary investigation suggests that the accident may have occurred due to the driver falling asleep or driving at high speed. The police said that the investigation is ongoing and efforts are being made to identify the deceased by informing their families.
