2,105 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 2.66 Million Revenue Generated

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand and five drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 2.66 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 99 were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol, 193 for illegal 'ride-sharing', 133 for violating traffic signals, and 139 for speeding.

Similarly, 132 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 79 for honking in prohibited areas, 87 for parking vehicles on the sidewalk, 79 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand and sixty-four for not following other traffic rules.
