Pathao Nepal Managing Director Asimman Singh Basnyat Departs

Kathmandu. Ride-sharing company Pathao Nepal's Managing Director Asimman Singh Basnyat has departed. Pathao Nepal, which came into operation in 2018, is considered to have established a new culture of ride-sharing service in Nepal.

Basnyat's leadership moved the company forward amidst challenges such as regulatory ambiguity, market distrust, and lack of infrastructure in the initial phase. Under his leadership, Pathao not only expanded its services but also established the habit of using ride-sharing, bringing about a change in urban lifestyles. The credit for this goes to Basnyat's leadership.

Currently, Pathao Nepal operates in the Kathmandu Valley and all seven provinces of the country. In recent times, the company has been expanding towards multi-dimensional services. It is now developing into an integrated digital service center with facilities such as long-distance vehicle booking, inter-city travel services, food delivery, parcel delivery across Nepal, and a marketplace platform, not just a vehicle service.
