Weather Forecast: Rain and Snow Expected in Parts of Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, Nepal is under the influence of westerly and local winds and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern parts of Nepal, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated.

Currently, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, as well as the remaining hilly and mountainous regions, are generally cloudy, while the remaining Terai regions are partly cloudy. Light rain is occurring in one or two places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

This afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces, will generally be cloudy, and the remaining Terai regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain and snowfall in some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places in the remaining provinces. 

Tonight, Koshi province and the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will generally be cloudy, and the remaining regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with moderate rain in some places in Koshi province, and in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and light rain and snowfall with thunderstorms in one or two places in the mountainous regions of the remaining provinces.
