Six from same family cremated after jeep accident in Rukum Paschim

Rukum Paschim. The collective cremation of six people from the same family of Rukum Purba, who died in a jeep accident in Jaljala, Thabang Rural Municipality of Rolpa last Thursday, has been performed. The collective cremation was performed today on the banks of the Sani Bheri River at Dhaune Bagar.

The cremation was performed for Yuwa Budhathoki, 28, of Sisne Rural Municipality-6 Taku, her son Divyan Budhathoki, 10, her mother-in-law Tilkumari Budhathoki, 53, her brother-in-law Gorkhabahadur Budhathoki, 32, her younger mother-in-law Omkumari Budhathoki, 40, and Omkumari's 13-year-old son Sudip Budhathoki, who died in the accident.

The cremation was performed today after Yuwa's husband Deepak Budhathoki returned home from America, informed Sisne Rural Municipality Chairman Krishna Regmi. 

The family members of the Budhathoki family from Rukumkot of Rukum Purba had gone to participate in the puja held in Rolpa's Jaljala on the day of the full moon, but the vehicle met with an accident before reaching Jaljala.

20 people died in the accident, while one person was injured. 14 of the deceased were cremated last Saturday.
