2,111 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand one hundred and eleven drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs. Five hundred and sixty-five thousand has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 109 people for driving under the influence of alcohol, 184 for illegal 'ride sharing', 103 for violating traffic signals, and 222 for speeding have been penalized.

Similarly, 138 for not following 'lane' discipline, 67 for honking in prohibited areas, 86 for parking vehicles on the roadside, 42 for violating rules of picking up and dropping passengers at designated places, and one thousand one thousand one hundred and sixty people for not following other traffic rules have been penalized.
