Former Minister Suden Kirati Criticizes Government on Squatter Management

Kathmandu. Former Minister Suden Kirati has criticized the government regarding the issue of squatter management. 

Expressing his views on social media Facebook, he stated that due to the lack of proper management of squatters, they are falling into extreme despair and are forced to choose a tragic path like suicide. 

Kirati has demanded that in a democracy, the public should receive clear information about how squatter management is being carried out. Kirati argues that squatter management should not be viewed merely as an administrative task. 

He has explained this as a sensitive issue linked to social justice, human rights, the dignity of citizens, and long-term poverty alleviation. He has urged the government to be alert in time, stating that the heartbreaking condition of children and the elderly in the settlements is increasing the anger among the general public. 

Kirati mentioned that the pillars of democracy are morality, transparency, and accountability, and stated that the state must answer the citizens' questions. Emphasizing that the voices raised by squatters, saying
