Barcelona on Verge of La Liga Title

Barcelona. In this week's Spanish La Liga, Barcelona is on the verge of becoming champions for the second consecutive time. With five games remaining in the league, Barcelona is clearly 11 points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. 

If Barcelona defeats Osasuna in the game to be played on Saturday and Real Madrid loses or draws with Espanyol on Sunday, Barcelona's path to the title will be certain. In such a situation, Barcelona will enter the field as the new champion in the much-anticipated 'El Clásico' to be played next week.

Under the leadership of coach Hansi Flick, Barcelona is in excellent form. Flick is preparing to win his third major title, including the 2025 Copa del Rey, in his two-year tenure. 

Barcelona's morale is high, having won nine consecutive home league games. However, winning at Osasuna's home ground El Sadar will not be easy, as Osasuna has not lost its last 10 home games. 

On the other hand, this season has been very disappointing for Real Madrid. Alvaro Arbeloa, who took charge of the team after the dismissal of Xavi Alonso, is also likely to be sacked after this season. In the last six games, Madrid has only managed one win.

In terms of player performance, Barcelona's 22-year-old midfielder Fermin Lopez has been very lethal. Lopez, who is expected to be included in the Spanish squad for the upcoming World Cup, has already scored 13 goals and provided 16 assists this season. 

Although key player Lamine Yamal is out for the season due to injury, the return of winger Raphinha has brought relief to the team. Coach Flick said that Raphinha's return to the field, after missing important Champions League games due to injury, is a positive energy for the team. He also expressed confidence that Yamal's injury is gradually improving and he will be fit for the World Cup.

Barcelona also has an opportunity to create a historic record this time. If they win all five remaining games, Barcelona will equal the record of 100 points. Previously, only Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid in 2012 and Tito Vilanova's Barcelona in 2013 achieved this success. 

Coach Flick said that they are currently focused on each game rather than records. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid is playing Valencia on Saturday and is preparing to play the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Arsenal next week.
