Rastriya Prajatantra Party General Secretary Dr. Dhaval Shamsher Rana Calls for Fair Investigation into Senior Vice Chairman Vikram Pandey

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) General Secretary Dr. Dhaval Shamsher Rana has stated that the government should conduct an impartial and fact-based investigation into the party's Senior Vice Chairman Vikram Pandey. However, he argued that detaining Pandey for the sake of investigation is neither just nor justifiable.

“When the records related to the investigation are already under state custody, there is no basis for Vikram Pandey, a personality repeatedly endorsed by the people, to destroy evidence, abscond, or obstruct the investigation,” he wrote on social media on Saturday. “Therefore, detaining him for the investigation does not seem just or justifiable.”

General Secretary Rana has drawn the government's attention to release Pandey justly and proceed with the investigation. He has requested the party leadership to make the party's official stance public on this matter.

He wrote, “Leader Pandey, who has been active in public life for a long time, is a respected and leading businessman of the country. His involvement in national pride projects is well-known. He has been honored multiple times at national and international levels for his positive contributions in areas such as the country's economy, development, and employment.”

“Therefore, I draw the government's attention to proceed with the investigation by releasing him justly, and respecting the sentiments of leaders, cadres, supporters, well-wishers, and the general public across the country, I request the party leadership to make the party's official stance public on this matter,” he said.

Pandey was arrested a few days ago on charges of being involved in hacking the online system related to contracts.
