Tribhuvan University Conducts Exams to Rectify Academic Calendar

Kathmandu. Tribhuvan University (TU) is conducting backlog exams to rectify the disrupted academic calendar. The exams that are currently pending are being held with the objective of conducting exams according to the regular academic calendar from the upcoming July, informed Examination Controller of TU Examination Control Office, Laxman Poudel.

He stated that three to four types of exams are being conducted in a month to rectify the academic calendar and efforts are underway to complete the chance exams from 2053 BS by June. In May alone, four types of exams are being conducted. These include the exams for Bachelor of Arts in Law (BALB) second year, regular second year of Bachelor's level, and BTech first and second year.

Examination Controller Poudel said that all exams will be completed by June, and exams for 2083 BS will be conducted according to the academic calendar from the upcoming July. According to him, the examination schedule for the first year of the three-year and four-year Bachelor's level, BALB third year, and BTech third year for the month of June has already been published. Similarly, the regular exams for the fourth year of all faculties of the Bachelor's level are scheduled for June.

He claimed that all exams that could not be regularized due to the Corona pandemic and various movements will be completed by June, and regular exams will be conducted according to TU's academic calendar from July. Approximately 115,000 examinees are participating in the currently ongoing exams. Similarly, Examination Controller Poudel informed that the TU Examination Control Office is improving the examination system and has started publishing results within one hundred days of the exam completion.
