1,720 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs. 858,000 Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand 720 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs. 858,000 revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 136 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol, 124 for illegal 'ride sharing', 129 for violating traffic signals, and 175 for speeding were penalized.

Similarly, 206 individuals for not following 'lane' discipline, 28 for honking in prohibited areas, 92 for parking vehicles on the roadside, 20 for violating rules of picking up and dropping off passengers at designated spots, and one thousand 810 individuals for not following other traffic rules were penalized.
