Tanahun Agriculture Office Provides Up to 85% Subsidy for Chaithe Dhan Production

Tanahun. The Agriculture Development Office has provided a subsidy of up to 85 percent under the Chaithe Dhan production promotion program. The office has focused on promoting commercial Chaithe Dhan cultivation for its conservation after farmers stopped cultivating it, said Senior Agriculture Development Officer Parshuram Adhikari. He said, "Farmers have enthusiastically planted Chaithe Dhan after receiving the subsidy. Subsidy has been provided for Chaithe Dhan seeds as well as for digging canals in places where irrigation facilities are not available." This year, Chaithe Dhan has been cultivated in three thousand 800 ropanis. Commercial Chaithe Dhan cultivation has been carried out in Byas Municipality and Myagde Rural Municipality.
