Rabi Lamichhane Clarifies Nepali Army's Role in Squatter Data Collection

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has clarified the issue of the Nepali Army collecting data on squatters. Speaking to journalists at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, he provided clarification regarding the army's work. He expressed belief that the work might have been done with a positive intention for the state. Lamichhane stated, 'The Nepali Army has been expressing its views on questions raised about itself from time to time. In my estimation, sometimes it can be easier to obtain information from state mechanisms. Each mechanism has its own capabilities. It is possible that by collecting data more actively, it could be easier for the government. Therefore, data collection might be for some construction. I believe it was done with a positive intention to assist the state,' Rabi said.
