Red Matsyendranath Chariot Reaches Thati Tole in Lalitpur, 'Coconut Tossing' Festival to Follow

Kathmandu. The chariot of the famous Red Matsyendranath, considered the god of rain and prosperity, has been brought to Thati Tole in Lagankhel, Lalitpur. According to the chariot procession schedule, participants and devotees pulled the chariot to Thati Tole.

With the chariot reaching Thati Tole, the famous 'Coconut Tossing Festival' will be held here this evening. A large number of devotees are expected to be present at Thati Tole to watch and catch the coconuts tossed from the upper part of the chariot (near the Gajuri).

After the coconut tossing process is completed this evening, this phase of the festival will officially proceed. Local administration and stakeholders are actively working to advance this longest and most important festival of Lalitpur in an organized manner.
