Prachanda Calls for Unity Among Leftist Forces on 77th Communist Party Foundation Day

Kathmandu. Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party, has emphasized the unity of all leftist and communist forces while issuing a message of greetings on the occasion of the 77th foundation day of the Communist Party of Nepal and Lenin Jayanti.

In his message, Prachanda recalled the historical role played by the Communist Party, established on Baisakh 9, 2006 B.S., in ending feudal autocracy and guiding the country toward a federal democratic republic.

The message states, 'Today, new forms of exploitation, oppression, and discrimination have emerged. In the true sense, the people's own system has not been fully established. Therefore, as long as discrimination exists in society, the relevance of the Communist Party will remain.' He also mentioned that in the current global context, the teachings of the great Lenin are even more relevant to fight against imperialism and fascist tendencies.

Prachanda has placed special emphasis on the need for all scattered leftist forces to unite to take the Nepali revolution to new heights and build an egalitarian society. He said, 'Only the communist movement can truly protect the rights of oppressed communities and national sovereignty. Therefore, I cordially call upon everyone for the overall reorganization of the Nepali communist movement.'

He stated that a front of transformative forces is indispensable for the protection of achievements gained from past people's wars and people's movements, and for the strengthening of the peace agreement and the democratic republic.
