Engineer arrested with bribe money

Butwal – The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested chief engineer at the Building and Urban Development Office, Rupandehi Suresh Thakur with bribe money worth Rs. 3.6 million. 


Acting on a tip-off, Thakur was arrested on Saturday by a CIAA team with the money from Barmeli tole in Siddharthanagar municipality. The money included Rs.

1.2 million in cash and Rs. 2.4 worth of cheque, according CIAA Butwal officer Suresh Bhusal. Thakur had handed over the amount to his wife, who was also arrested.
