14-Year-Old Girl Missing in Parbat for Eight Days

Parbat. 14-year-old Ritika Jaisi from Deupur, Modi Rural Municipality-2, has been missing for the past eight days.

She went missing on Chait 29 while returning home from her maternal uncle's house in Dhairing, Jaljala Rural Municipality-7. Police stated that while she was seen boarding a vehicle at Milanchok on the Maldhunga-Beni road heading toward Patichaur in Modi Rural Municipality, she has not been in contact since.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Yadav stated that the search for the missing teenager has been intensified and all subordinate police units have been instructed to continue the search with her description.

Local teacher Bhumiraj Sharma reported that the teenager did not get off at Patichaur as intended but was instead seen getting off at Milanchok in Hemja, Pokhara Metropolitan City-25, Kaski. Although it was discovered she disembarked about 35 kilometers past her destination, her whereabouts since then remain unknown.

The teenager had recently passed grade 8 at the local Jannetra Secondary School and was due to enroll in grade 9.

The family has requested everyone to assist in the search by informing the nearest police station if she is spotted or if any suspicious information is known.
