Four arrested for assaulting and robbing woman in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. The police have taken into custody four individuals involved in assaulting and robbing a woman in Tarakeshwar Municipality, Kathmandu. They were arrested on charges of attacking a woman residing in Kavresthali, Tarakeshwar Municipality-2, and fleeing after stealing the gold ring she was wearing.

The arrested individuals are 34-year-old Shankar Bahadur Tamang, originally from Nuwakot and currently residing in Tarakeshwar-5; 50-year-old Raju Tamang from Tarakeshwar-8; 33-year-old Gunaraj Khanal from Tarakeshwar-4; and 43-year-old Prem Tamang from Tarakeshwar-5. A special police team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, apprehended them from various hideouts in Kathmandu.

The suspects had targeted the victim while she was alone, inflicting physical injuries before forcibly snatching her gold jewelry and fleeing the scene. All four arrested individuals have been sent to the Balaju Police Circle for further investigation and legal action.
