Department of Commerce inspects 53 firms in Kathmandu in a single day

Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection, which has been aggressively monitoring and inspecting the market, has collected details of 53 firms in a single day.

The department has been monitoring various business establishments, firms, and shops to check whether bills and invoices are being issued, whether information required for consumers is being provided, and whether the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 are being complied with.

In recent days, the department has been monitoring a large number of business firms. In the same sequence, it inspected 53 firms in the Khichapokhari area of Kathmandu on Thursday alone.

The department has issued corrective instructions to all the inspected firms. It has clarified that it has been conducting regular market monitoring in the presence of local representatives, consumer rights activists, and stakeholders.
