One youth found dead, another missing after drowning in Kaligandaki River

Butwal. A youth who went missing while swimming in the Kaligandaki River at Deulatand, Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-7, Palpa, has been found dead.

According to the District Police Office, Palpa, 31-year-old Sharan Bhusal and 19-year-old Toyanath Bashyal, both locals, went missing after drowning while swimming in the river yesterday evening.

Following the incident, a police team was immediately deployed to initiate a search operation. During the search, the body of 19-year-old Toyanath Bashyal from Chappani, Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-1, was recovered from the middle of the Kaligandaki River this morning, stated DSP Hom Bahadur Chaudhary of the District Police Office, Palpa.

The police reported that the search for the other missing individual, Sharan Bhusal, is currently ongoing.
