President Paudel Calls for National Unity and Commitment to Democratic Ideals on New Year 2083

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel has called upon the citizens to remain dedicated to the ideals of the federal democratic republic in thought, word, and deed. Issuing a message of greetings to Nepalis at home and abroad on the auspicious occasion of the New Year 2083, he emphasized that the state should have no interest other than the welfare of the country and its citizens. 

The President also appealed to all Nepalis to make a firm resolve to never let the country's independence and sovereignty falter, regardless of the difficult circumstances.

Describing the New Year as an important opportunity to review the past and set new goals for the future, the President noted that our calendars are integral parts of our history and civilization. 

He expressed his belief that our glorious traditions and culture will inspire us to move towards a prosperous future. He stated that the country has received a new mandate following the recently concluded House of Representatives elections, which clarifies the public's desire for the rule of law, good governance, and prosperity.

President Paudel emphasized that politics and governance must be kept within the boundaries of morality, integrity, and ideals, stating that everyone's commitment to good governance is essential. He expressed the view that unity among various castes, languages, and religions should be further strengthened by embracing inclusion and social justice. He clarified that every mechanism of the state should be mobilized by keeping citizens at the center, and the freedom of citizens should be the primary interest of the state.

The President's message mentions that it is the need of the hour to create an environment where future generations will be proud that our ancestors chose the path of democracy. Stating that resolve and dedication are mandatory for achieving any national goal, he said that social unity and mutual respect should be made the cultural character of Nepalis. 

Finally, wishing for everyone's happiness, peace, and longevity, he expressed his hope that the New Year would provide the strength to increase mutual trust and goodwill among all Nepalis, further strengthening national unity.
