Department of Commerce Conducts Market Inspections Across 56 Firms in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection, which regularly monitors the market to ensure it remains fair and orderly, has inspected 56 firms in a single day.

According to the details provided by the department, necessary instructions and actions have been taken in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2075 and the Consumer Protection Regulations, 2076.

The department conducted inspections at various firms and businesses within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. On Friday, the department noted that a significant number of firms and businesses were inspected and provided with corrective instructions.

The department has been conducting regular market inspections to control black marketing, prevent the sale and distribution of inedible goods, and ensure that maximum retail prices are being maintained. The department, which inspected 51 firms on Thursday, reported that it inspected 56 firms on Friday.
