Carlsberg Golf Classic 2026 to be held in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Nepal's prestigious corporate golf tournament, the 'Carlsberg Golf Classic 2026', is set to take place on April 10 and 11. Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd. is organizing this two-day event at the historic Royal Nepal Golf Course in Kathmandu. 

Aimed at promoting the sport of golf and providing an exceptional experience for players, this tournament is expected to be one of the most anticipated amateur golf events of the season. To make the competition more exciting and organized, the organizers have selected the popular Stableford format. 

Scoring will be calculated based on a 3/4 handicap, ensuring a fair and competitive game among players of varying skill levels. Handicap limits have also been set for participants, with a maximum of 18 for men and 24 for women. This rule is expected to balance the quality and competitiveness of the game.

Approximately 130 golf enthusiasts from across the country are expected to participate in the two-day tournament. Carlsberg has long been promoting sports and an active lifestyle. Through this competition, the company aims to strengthen its brand's connection with premium sporting experiences and foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among players.
