Three students killed in motorcycle collision and fire in Mahottari

Mahottari. Three students were killed after two motorcycles collided and caught fire in Bathnaha village along the Jaleshwar-Bardibas road section today.

Three others were critically injured in the incident. They are currently undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in the district headquarters, Jaleshwar, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Bhatta of the District Police Office. 

Police have not yet disclosed the names, surnames, or addresses of the deceased and injured, noting that the motorcycles were completely charred, making their license plates unidentifiable. The motorcycles, traveling from opposite directions, collided this morning in Bathnaha village, Ekdara Rural Municipality-5, along the Jaleshwar-Bardibas road. Police stated that the three students died on the spot after the collision triggered a fire in both vehicles. It is reported that the victims were students returning after taking their SEE examinations.

Police reported that among the three injured, two are in critical condition while one is in moderate condition.
