Narcotics Control Bureau Arrests Four with Over 35,000 Tramadol Capsules

Kathmandu. The Nepal Police Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested four individuals in possession of 35,516 capsules. The arrested include 35-year-old Suresh Tamang from Nuwakot, 22-year-old Sanjeev Ghising from Bhimeshwor-6, Dolakha, 22-year-old Surendra Kumar Rauniyar from Dhanusha, and 23-year-old Rohit Rana Magar from Roshi Rural Municipality-9, Kavre.

Narcotics Control Bureau SP Durga Raj Regmi confirmed to Ratopati that 35,516 Tramadol capsules were seized from the suspects. Investigators initially arrested Suresh Tamang on Chait 17 and recovered 31,800 Tramadol capsules. Based on his statement, 1,996 capsules were found with Sanjeev. Two additional individuals connected to them were subsequently arrested.

Rohit Rana Magar and Suresh Tamang had escaped from custody during the Gen-Z protests on Bhadau 24. The Bureau had held them in the District Police Range, Kathmandu, in connection with a Tramadol trafficking case. SP Regmi stated that they have been re-arrested with Tramadol after their previous escape.
