Wife Files Habeas Corpus Petition for Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak's Release

Kathmandu. Yashoda Lekhak, wife of former Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak, has filed a habeas corpus writ at the Supreme Court, alleging her husband is being held illegally.

Her writ is currently in the process of being registered.

Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was also arrested by the police on Saturday along with Lekhak. Former Prime Minister and UML Chairman Oli and former Home Minister and Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak were arrested on Saturday, Chaitra 14, on charges of suppressing the Jyanji movement. A habeas corpus petition has also been filed demanding the release of Oli.
