Nepal Tarun Dal Condemns Arrests of Former PM Oli and Ex-Home Minister Lekhak

Kathmandu. The Nepal Tarun Dal has condemned the arrests of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. Bidwan Gurung, Central Chairman of the Tarun Dal, issued a press release accusing the arrests of being the height of 'political vendetta and prejudice'. The statement read, 'Such unilateral and malicious steps are a direct assault on democratic values and the rule of law, creating a serious danger of pushing the country towards unnecessary conflict and instability.'

The Tarun Dal warned the current government to reconsider its decisions and proceed transparently and impartially according to the rule of law. It also drew the government's attention to maintaining political tolerance and being serious about the country's stability.

The press release further stated, 'It is the shared responsibility of all parties to maintain the country's stability, national unity, and social harmony. Cooperation and dialogue among all political forces are necessary to move forward on the path of peace, stability, and prosperity.'

The Tarun Dal expressed its commitment to strongly oppose any activity that leads the nation towards instability and clarified that it will always stand in favor of the rule of law.
