Nepali Congress Leader Nain Singh Mahar Warns Against One-Sided Action in Governance

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Nain Singh Mahar has stated that governance will not be established by hiding the guilty and targeting only one side. Following the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, he commented that the state moving forward by violating the law will only set the country ablaze with vendetta.

‘Governance will not be established by hiding the guilty and targeting only one side,’ Mahar wrote on Facebook, ‘The public seeks not just revenge, but the experience of good governance along with development. When the state moves forward by violating the law, it will only burn the country with vendetta. Be aware!’

He stated that punishment must be ensured impartially and equally according to the prevailing law based on the nature and seriousness of the crime. ‘The elements who systematically infiltrated and caused destruction in the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 must be impartially investigated and action must be taken against them,’ wrote leader Mahar.
