Five Women Appointed as Ministers in Balen Shah's New Government

Kathmandu. Five women are among those appointed as ministers in the new government led by Balen Shah (Balendra).

In the list of female ministers, Nisha Mehta has received the responsibility of the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Water Supply. Similarly, Pratibha Rawal has been selected as the Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.

Sobita Gautam has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, while Geeta Chaudhary has been appointed as the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development and the Minister for Forest and Environment. Additionally, Sita Wadi will take charge of the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens.

All ministers have taken the oath of office and secrecy.
