Nepali Congress Proposes 15th General Convention for Bhadra 24-26, 2083

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has published a proposed schedule to hold its 15th General Convention in Kathmandu from Bhadra 24 to 26, 2083 BS.

This schedule is proposed so that the election process, starting from the grassroots level for the selection of the party's new leadership, can commence.

According to the schedule proposed by President Gagan Thapa during Tuesday's Central Committee meeting, the special campaign for the distribution and renewal of active membership, as a preliminary preparation for the General Convention, will begin on Chaitra 21.

The goal is to conclude this process by the end of Asar 2083 BS and submit the list to the election committee. Thapa stated that thereafter, the convention will simultaneously begin in all 6,743 wards across the country on Shrawan 6.

Proposal to hold the 15th Congress of the Nepali Congress from Bhadra 24 to 26

Following the grassroots level convention, the schedule indicates that the Village/Municipality convention will be held on Shrawan 12, the Provincial Assembly Regional convention on Shrawan 23, and the Federal Parliament Regional convention and District conventions for districts with only one constituency on Shrawan 30.

Entering the month of Bhadra, the District Conventions will be held on Bhadra 6 and 7, and the conventions for all seven provinces will be completed on Bhadra 15 and 16. Thapa's proposal is that after all these levels of conventions are completed, the Central General Convention will be grandly organized in Kathmandu on Bhadra 24, 25, and 26 as the final phase.
