High-Ranking Officials to Take Oath of Office Over Three Days Starting Tomorrow

Kathmandu. A program has been set for high-ranking officials to take the oath of office and secrecy over three days starting tomorrow, Chaitra 11. Those taking the oath within these three days include the head of the executive (Prime Minister), the head of the legislature, and members of the legislature.

On Wednesday, President Ramchandra Paudel has scheduled a program at the President's Office, Shital Niwas, to administer the oath of office and secrecy to Arjun Narsingh KC, the senior-most member among the 275 members elected from the House of Representatives in the election held on Falgun 21. The President's Office informed that his oath-taking is scheduled for 11:15 AM.

Ekram Giri, spokesperson for the Federal Parliament Secretariat, informed that KC is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the remaining 274 elected members of the House of Representatives on Chaitra 12, Thursday, at 2 PM at the multi-purpose hall constructed in the Putali Bagaincha, Singha Durbar.

It has been confirmed that Prime Minister Balendra Shah will take the oath of office and secrecy with President Paudel at Shital Niwas on Chaitra 13, Friday. However, the President's Office stated that the time has not yet been confirmed.
