Jeep Accident on Kaligandaki Highway Claims Driver's Life in Parbat

Parbat. The driver, Sajjan Pariyar, died in a jeep accident along the Kaligandaki riverbank on the Kushma-Phalewas road section at Mudikuwa in Phalebas Municipality-4, which falls under the Kaligandaki Local Highway.

The jeep, bearing registration number Ga 1 Ja 8029, was carrying urea fertilizer from the district headquarters Kushma Bazaar towards Phalebas Municipality when it fell approximately 30 meters down the road on Monday evening. According to District Police Office Inspector Dinesh Paudel, the 35-year-old driver was alone in the jeep. It was reported that driver Pariyar died en route to the Provincial Hospital after being rescued.

Police stated that the accident might have occurred because the uphill road was slippery due to rain. Armed Police Force Deputy Superintendent of Police Kshitij Chhetri informed that a team deployed from the Armed Police Force Chandika Battalion and the District Police Office successfully completed the rescue operation under difficult conditions.
