Home Minister Honors Officials for Successful House of Representatives Election Management

Kathmandu. Home Minister Omprakash Aryal honored the employees of the Home Ministry and security agencies who played a role in successfully completing the House of Representatives elections.

Minister Aryal honored the employees and security personnel with letters of appreciation at a program organized at the ministry on Monday.

Minister Aryal honored Home Ministry Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Defense Ministry Secretary Kedarnath Sharma, Army Chief of Staff Pradipjung KC, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal, Chief of National Investigation Department Tekendra Karki, officials of the District Security Committees of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur, and senior officials of the Home Ministry with letters of appreciation. He also congratulated and honored all employees and security personnel deployed in the election, including the officials of the District Security Committees.

He said, "We have set a new standard by successfully completing the election in a historic manner; there was no bloodshed in this election. We did not have to hold re-elections. Positive results were achieved due to the collective leadership system and strong coordination among all stakeholders. It is necessary to maintain this in the coming days."

Minister Aryal stated that the role played by the security committees from the center to the district level, the construction command force, the security cell, and responsible government officials in making the election successful with enthusiasm was historic and accountable to the state.

"The creativity and capability of the officers deployed in the election are commendable," Minister Aryal said, "In many past incidents, the leadership might have given instructions without understanding the incident. Instructions might have been given without screening or understanding what was being said based on someone's statement. But this time, we screened well, thought a lot before making decisions, and coordinated. We worked based on the coordinated decisions that came through; the role of security agencies at all levels in this is remarkable."

Defense Ministry Secretary Aryal stated that success was achieved due to strong coordination and cooperation during the election. Anand Kafle, Chief of the Security and Coordination Division and Spokesperson for the Home Ministry, mentioned that positive results were achieved in maintaining election security and law and order due to the judicious and coordinated leadership of the Home Ministry.
