Nepali Congress Central Committee Rejects Gagan Thapa's Resignation as Vice President

Kathmandu. Gagan Thapa's resignation from the post of Vice President has been rejected. The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting held on Sunday decided to reject Thapa's resignation.

Vice President Sharma informed that the Central Working Committee unanimously decided to reject the resignation that Thapa submitted to the Vice President on Falgun 21, taking moral responsibility for the results of the House of Representatives election, as per Article 26(1) of the statute.

The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma from Chaitra 6 to 8.

In the meeting, 88 members and office bearers expressed their views on the subject presented by the Vice President.
