Rastriya Prajatantra Party Leader Prakash Chandra Lohani Resigns from Steering Committee Chair Post

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Prakash Chandra Lohani has resigned from the post of Chairman of the party's Steering Committee. Lohani resigned from the post on Sunday.

He stated that the disappointing results obtained in the recently concluded general elections due to internal party matters and various other reasons have shocked him, and he resigned from the Steering Committee to clear the way for party office bearers.

He mentioned that he has stepped down from the responsibility with the understanding that the office bearers should immediately clear the way for a general convention through an ad-hoc committee as per the public sentiment, and only then should they assume responsibility if they receive it afterward.
