CPN-UML Leader Padma Aryal Expresses Strong Displeasure Over Remarks by Lawmaker Mahabir Pun

Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader Padma Aryal has expressed serious dissatisfaction over the comments made by lawmaker Mahabir Pun about her. Aryal refuted the claims, stating that Pun used abusive language based on misleading information.

Addressing Pun via social media, Aryal wrote, "I was excited that the presence of a renowned and talented information technology expert like you in the new parliament would lead to collaboration regarding the improvement of the information technology sector and the control of fake news. However, the post you made today has disappointed me."

Aryal accused Pun of basing his comments on "fabricated" and "toxic" content posted on a Facebook page that resembles a party mouthpiece. Claiming she never made any statement about controlling new leaders, she said, "It is a matter of concern that a responsible person like you promotes conflict by publicizing content placed in a planned manner about a matter I did not speak on, without evaluation."

Aryal argues that while political and ideological differences are natural, it is unbecoming for a responsible individual to make baseless remarks.
