Landslide Blocks Major Highway Section in Palpa, Nepal

Palpa. The Siddhartha Highway, specifically the Siddhababa section in Palpa district, has been completely blocked due to a landslide involving mud and stones. Traffic movement has been affected as the road is closed from both sides because of the debris.

The District Police Office, Palpa, stated that the stones that fell onto the road will be cleared once the rainfall stops. The police office has requested passengers and vehicle drivers to travel only after the rain has completely ceased.

Currently, vehicles traveling to and from Butwal are halted. Police have urged passengers and drivers to use alternative routes or wait for a safe time to travel.
