Committee Formed to Investigate Irregularities and Widebody Aircraft Losses at Nepal Airlines

Kathmandu. A five-member committee has been formed to investigate the irregularities and losses incurred with the widebody aircraft at Nepal Airlines Corporation. Ministry spokesperson Jaynarayan Acharya provided this information, stating that the committee is chaired by Ministry Joint Secretary Mukesh Dangol.

Spokesperson Acharya stated that the Ministry, through a decision at the Secretary level on Thursday (Chaitra 5), has directed the committee to collect evidence, study, and investigate matters including corruption related to the irregularities and widebody aircraft at Nepal Airlines Corporation, and submit a report with an implementation action plan within one month (thirty) days. The committee has been instructed to collect necessary evidence, study, and investigate according to the Terms of Reference (TOR) and submit a report.

According to sources, Sudhan Gurung, a member of the House of Representatives elected from Gorkha Constituency Number 1, had submitted a memorandum demanding an investigation.
