Nepali Congress Central Working Committee Meeting Begins Amidst Gagan Thapa's Absence After Resignation

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting has started at the party's central office in Sanepa. Party President Gagan Thapa, who resigned from his post following the party's unexpected defeat in the House of Representatives meeting on Falgun 21, is not present at the meeting.

The meeting is being chaired by Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma. However, President Thapa's chair has been kept vacant in the meeting. The acting Chief Secretary of the Party Central Office, Krishna Prasad Dulal, informed that President Thapa will not attend the meeting.

According to Joint General Secretary Uday Shumsher Rana, the meeting will review the House of Representatives election and also discuss the resignation submitted by President Thapa.
