Nepali Congress Central Committee Meeting Agenda Excludes 15th General Convention Date Discussion

Kathmandu. Discussion regarding the date of the Nepali Congress's 15th General Convention will not take place in the party's Central Working Committee meeting. Joint General Secretary Uday Shumsher Rana informed that the General Convention will not be discussed in the Central Working Committee meeting starting Friday.

‘The convention will not be discussed in the meeting starting today. The agenda for the meeting has been set to discuss the party president's resignation and conduct a preliminary review of the House of Representatives election,’ Joint General Secretary Rana told Ratopati.

The Congress, which suffered an unexpected defeat in the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, has called a Central Working Committee meeting at the party headquarters in Sanepa at 1 PM on Friday.

Although there was speculation within the Congress that the schedule for the 15th General Convention would be announced in the Central Working Committee meeting, Joint General Secretary Rana stated that there would be no discussion on that matter in this meeting.
