594 students get solar lamps in Dadeldhura

Dadeldhura – A total of 594 students of Amargadhi Municipality and Nabadurga Rural Municipality in Dadeldhura district have been provided with solar lamps meant for capacity development in their studies. 


The students of eight schools of the two local levels were given the solar lamps under the educational illumination programme of Alternative Energy promotion Centre. 


Information Officer of Amargadhi Municipality Lal Bahadur Saud said that students of all six secondary schools in Amargadhi and two secondary schools in Nabadurga received the solar lamps and the students with poor economic background were selected for the solar lamp distribution. 


Representative of Alternative Energy Promotion Centre Lalmani Panta said that two bulbs can be illuminated from the solar lamp that has warranty for one year. The market price for the solar lamp is around 4,000 rupees at present, it is said.
