Man Kills Wife with Gunshot, Then Shoots Himself in Kailali, Nepal

Kailali. Ram Bahadur Magar, 31, from Amaleshaini village in Godawari Municipality-4, Kailali, shot and killed his wife, 27-year-old Sanjita Magar, before shooting himself.

Sanjita died on the spot from the gunshot wound. Injured Ram Bahadur was rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi in an unconscious state, informed Kailali District Police Spokesperson Yogendra Timilsina.

Police Spokesperson Timilsina, citing local residents, stated that Ram Bahadur argued with his wife Sanjita while they were grazing goats in a nearby forest on Wednesday afternoon and then shot her with a country-made gun he was carrying.

He said, 'After locals informed us last night, a police team reached the scene and began an investigation; the exact time of the incident has not been confirmed.' Preparations are underway to retrieve the deceased woman's body only after her maternal relatives arrive.
