Rastriya Swatantra Party Leaders Urge Newly Elected MPs to Uphold Public Trust and Deliver Good Governance

Lalitpur. The Deputy Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Dol Prasad Aryal, has urged newly elected members to maintain the public's hope and trust while fulfilling their responsibilities.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the orientation and introductory program organized by the party for newly elected parliamentarians at the Royal Tulip in Lalitpur on Tuesday, Deputy Chairman Aryal stated the necessity of working in the interest of the nation and the people.

“There is a need to form a government that the citizens can feel, and demonstrate the end of corruption and the establishment of good governance. The current outcome is due to the wrongdoings of political parties that have held the reins of the country for a long time. This has made our party and the people's elected representatives responsible and accountable,” he said.

Another Deputy Chairman of the same party, Swarnim Wagle, emphasized the need to preserve the confidence garnered from nearly a two-thirds majority, achieved with 48 percent of the votes, and maintain the public's faith. “The main slogan of the manifesto is to establish order, and this must be demonstrated through action. The people have given us responsibilities that we can handle, and we must show results through honest work,” he said.

Deputy Chairman Wagle urged the parliamentarians to uphold this significant mandate, the largest since 2015 BS, by playing their legislative role, raising public grievances and issues, and resisting wrongdoings even by their own government.

Party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti stated that the program was organized to orient the members on parliamentary practice, legislative process, policy making, and the role of parliamentary committees.
