Nepalgunj – Students of Nepal Rastriya Basic School at Mahendrapur in Raptisonari Rural Municipality in the district took part in a dummy exercise to extinguish the fire today.
The exercise was done with the direct participation of the students under the disaster risk reduction, and school security promotion and strengthening project run by the Banke UNESCO Club.
At the programme organized in the presence of Rural Municipality Chairman Lahuram Tharu, parents and teachers and the students were exercised on security measures in case of fire in school building, first aid for the hurt and role of the people's representatives in school reconstruction bids.
During the exercise, the students were involved in rescue operation after setting a makeshift thatched roof school building on fire.
