Rastriya Swatantra Party Begins Two-Day Orientation for Newly Elected Lawmakers

Lalitpur. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is commencing a two-day orientation and introductory program starting today to train its newly elected members of parliament (MPs) on parliamentary practices and responsibilities. The orientation program is being held at Hotel Royal Tulip in Gwarko, Lalitpur, under the main theme of "Leading Change, Politics of Results."

The party stated that this program is designed to make the MPs effective, accountable, and results-oriented, thereby realizing the trust placed in them by the public. The program will provide detailed information to the MPs on parliamentary procedures, lawmaking, policy analysis, good governance, transparency, and the role of people's representatives.

Day One: Parliamentary Practice and Experience Sharing

The program will be formally inaugurated by the party leadership today. Immediately following, the party's Vice Chairman Dr. Swarnim Waglé will deliver the keynote address and present on the current state of the nation and the role of MPs. Another Vice Chairman, Dol Prasad Aryal, will share experiences from the election campaign.

In the first day's session, former Secretary Suresh Adhikari will provide training on the structure and functioning of the parliament, and former Law Secretary Toyanath Adhikari will train on the role of MPs in the lawmaking process. Furthermore, scholar Dr. Dobhan Rai will present on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on democracy and good governance. Senior MPs of the party, including Ashok Chaudhary, Shishir Khanal, Dr. Toshima Karki, Sobita Gautam, Ganesh Parajuli, and others, will share their parliamentary experiences with the newly elected MPs.

Day Two: Budget Formulation, Good Governance, and Party Strategy

The program on Chaitra 4 will begin with yoga and meditation in the morning. The second day will focus particularly on the budget and good governance. Former Secretary Dr. Toyanarayan Gyawali will train the MPs on the planning and budget formulation process, and former Secretary Pratap Kumar Pathak will train on good governance.

Similarly, General Secretary Kavindra Burlakoti and others will clarify the code of conduct for MPs in the new political culture and their relationship with the party. Group work by the MPs to prioritize future agendas will also take place on the same day.

At the conclusion of this important two-day orientation program, RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to deliver the closing address, clarifying the party's future strategy, vision, and policy priorities.

RSP believes this program will help provide the necessary knowledge and skills for the MPs to discharge their responsibilities effectively and transform public expectations into policy achievements.
