1100 people benefit from free health camp

Babiyachaur, Myagdi –Free health check-up and specialist service camps run by the National Health Fund under the Social Welfare Council have benefitted more than 1,000 people in Myagdi district. 


The health camps were organised at Darbang of Malika Rural Municipality on Thursday, at Pokharebagar of Annapurna Rural Municipality on Friday and at the Beni Hospital on Saturday benefitting 395, 400 and 300 people respectively. 


Gynaecological specialist Dr Sarita Gurung, padeatric specialist Dr Nawaraj Suvedi and general physician Dr Rupesh Shrestha provided the health check-up services at these places and they were assisted by the local health workers, Fund chairman Hum Bahadur Baruwal said. Medicines were also provided to the patients free of cost at these health camps. 
Free eye camp held at Shuklaphanta Municipality 


Meanwhile, 483 people had their eyes examined free of cost at an eye camp set up at Shuklaphanta Municipality-12 in Kanchanpur district in the far-west of the country on Saturday. The eye camp was organised by Shuklaphanta Municipality with the technical assistance of Geta Eye Hospital, Kailali. 


Three hundred and twenty one women and 161 men were given free eye check-up at the camp organised with the objective of providing services to the senior citizens, single women and people with disabilities.
