Teaser Released for Highly Anticipated Nepali Film 'Pahad' Set for Baisakh 1, 2083 Release

Kathmandu. The highly anticipated film 'Pahad' directed by Tulsi Ghimire is preparing for public release starting from Baisakh 1, 2083, coinciding with the New Year.

As the release date approaches, the film's teaser has been unveiled. The teaser depicts the emptying of the hills due to youth migration abroad and the resulting social and economic problems. Actors seen in the teaser include Bipin Karki, Sunil Thapa, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Renunath Yogi, Arun Chhetri, and Rabindrasingh Baniya.

Director Ghimire stated that the film tells the story of our own society. Ghimire said, 'The hills are a very beautiful place; our ancestors and predecessors dedicated their lives to making them beautiful. But recently, those same hills have become desolate, with youth migrating for employment.' He added, 'We have prepared the story of the film connecting this; it can be called the story of all of Nepal.'

'Pahad,' produced under the banner of Bhagyaratna Films Pvt. Ltd., marks the debut of director Ghimire's youngest daughter, Panchami, as an actress. Furthermore, director Ghimire's elder daughter, Bhavana Ghimire, has taken on the responsibility of Production Designer for the film's technical team.

Ranjit Singh Gajmer is the music director for the film. Uttam Rasaili is the presenter, while Surendra Lama Thing, Ojaswi KC, Rimpoche Lama Thing, and Uma Giri are the producers. Bharti Ghimire serves as the creative producer for the film. The film will be distributed in Nepal by Venkatesh Entertainment and internationally by Seven Seas International Films in the diaspora.

The film features choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Mingma D. Lepcha, action direction by Kumar Maharjan, and editing by Shankar Koirala and Bharti Ghimire.
