Floodlights Installed at Tuin Khola Landslide Zone on Narayanghat-Mugling Road

Chitwan. Floodlights have been installed at the landslide area of Tuin Khola along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section. Two floodlights have been installed so that the location can be clearly visible even at night, given the possibility of falling rocks on the road.

According to Harikumar Shrestha, Sub-Engineer at the Road Division Office, Bharatpur, the two floodlights were installed in coordination with the Electricity Authority at that location on Saturday. Shrestha stated that the floodlights were installed to ensure clear visibility at night, considering the risk of landslides and falling rocks in the Tuin Khola area. After the lights were installed, landslides and falling rocks can be easily seen. Shrestha also urged drivers and passengers to travel cautiously without overtaking on this road section.

Just last Friday, a rock hit the cabin of a night bus traveling from Kathmandu to Kankadvitta. However, the driver's alertness averted an accident. Continuous landslides in Tuin Khola during the last monsoon season had repeatedly obstructed the road.
