Unai Emery Sets Aston Villa Record with Fastest 100 Wins Milestone

London. Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has set a new record by achieving the milestone of 100 wins in the shortest time in the club's history. He achieved this success after securing a victory against Lille in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16.

Appointed manager in October 2022, the 54-year-old Emery maintains the highest win percentage in the club's history at 55.2 percent. Emery becomes the third manager to complete 100 wins in Villa's history, but he accomplished this goal much faster than the other two.

He achieved this feat in just 181 matches, surpassing the record held by club legend Ron Saunders. Saunders only completed 100 wins in his fourth season during 1977-78. Emery is one of only three managers to secure 100 wins in the Premier League since arriving at Villa Park, with only Pep Guardiola (137) and Mikel Arteta (118) ahead of him.

Emery, who returned to England after being sacked by Arsenal in 2019, has once again proven himself. He has established Villa as a formidable team in domestic and European competitions.

The Spanish coach, aiming to win the Europa League for the fifth time personally, took this success lightly, but the statistics place him among the list of Aston Villa's all-time best managers.
