Bayern Munich Dominates Atalanta with 6-1 Victory in Champions League Last 16 First Leg

Kathmandu. German giant Bayern Munich registered a wide and spectacular 6-1 victory over Italian side Atalanta in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

In the match held at Atalanta's home ground, Bayern presented an aggressive game from the start, raining goals. Michael Olise scored two goals for Bayern, while Josip Stanišić, Serge Gnabry, Nicolas Jackson, and Jamal Musiala added one goal each.

Bayern took the lead in the 12th minute with a goal from Josip Stanišić, and Michael Olise in the 22nd minute and Serge Gnabry in the 25th minute put the team up 3-0 by halftime. Bayern's rhythm did not stop in the second half either. Nicolas Jackson scored the fourth goal in the 52nd minute, and Olise scored his second personal goal in the 64th minute to make it 5-0. Jamal Musiala added the sixth goal in the 67th minute, making Bayern completely dominant.

Although Atalanta's Mario Pašalić scored a consolation goal in the final moments of the game, it was not enough to avert the defeat. With this massive win, Bayern Munich has strengthened its possibility of advancing to the quarterfinals even before the second leg.
